How to Care for your Divine Jewellery

Silver Jewellery

Although it's convenient & looks attractive to display your jewellery on those lovely jewellery stands it's not actually helping you to keep it looking shiny & new. As time goes on sterling silver reacts with gases in the air & tarnishes it.

  • It is therefore best to store your silver jewellery in bags which slows down the tarnishing process & keeps the jewellery from rubbing against harder jewellery which may scratch it. We supply our smaller pieces in plastic bags inside the organza bags for you to carry on using.
  • Sterling silver jewellery that is worn continually often develops a lovely patina, a kind of glow combined with darkened areas. If you like the look, leave it alone.
  • If you prefer a bright and shiny look for your sterling silver, use a polish cloth to restore the jewellery to its original appearance.

    Keeping Your Pearls Perfect

Pearls, unlike other gems and precious stones, are softer. Therefore you need to take extra care of them. However, keeping a few simple things in mind can keep your pearls looking beautiful for a long, long time.

    ·        Perfume make-up and perspiration can be harmful to your pearls. Therefore, wear your pearls after you have done your make-up. Also, wipe your pearls with a soft cloth after wearing them. Occasionally, you can also use a special pearl cleansing liquid to clean them.

    ·        Because pearls are softer than other gems, they can be damaged by abrasive substances. Keep them separately from your other jewellery, preferably in a velvet lined jewel box or silk bag.

Wear your pearls often. Contact with your skin will naturally rehydrate the pearls and keep them looking beautiful for longer!

Most importantly though … enjoy !
